My love for design began when I was just ten years old.

While other kids were drawing pictures, I was drawing house plans and sketching renovation ideas, fascinated by the way thoughtful design could completely transform how people lived.

Life eventually led me into primary teaching, where I spent more than a decade teaching Year 1 while raising three incredible children alongside my husband, Rob.

Although my career wasn't in design, those years shaped the designer I am today.

Teaching taught me to listen. To understand people. To communicate clearly. To adapt when plans change. To manage complex projects while never losing sight of the people at the centre of them.
